What an exciting way to start the New Year with awarding Mint Café Business of the Month. As soon as you enter the café amongst its exquisite décor, you’ll notice the vibrancy of the staff. When it was time for a team photo all staff quickly gathered around Kate to help and be apart of her celebration. Clearly people are happy to work here which is a credit to owners Kate and Nathan Head for encouraging such an ambient atmosphere.
Speaking to Kate, she provided me with a real insight into how busy and successful the café has become. As well as having a full-time chef, Kate herself is qualified so now I can see why the food and cakes look so delicious. And a very good business commitment is that anything that is available in the morning is still available in the afternoon so you won’t be disappointed, even the succulent coffee… There’s even a variety of heat and eat meals for those on the run.
But Mint Café doesn’t stop here as they provide catering services as well. Be it corporate events, birthdays, weddings, special occasions, they’ll try their upmost to cater for whatever your needs. So, if you have an idea for an event that needs catering, just contact Kate.
Mint Café really is a destination that Whyalla residents need to be proud of and supported. They’ve turned a café in the centre of a University into somewhere to meet friends, colleagues, and professionals that offers quality food at affordable prices and is giving young Whyalla people a great working experience. It’s the friendliness of ‘Hello’ when you walk in and the ‘Goodbye’ when you leave that makes me want to come back.
