Steve White General Builders has a long-standing name in the Whyalla building scene with Steve himself starting out as an apprentice carpenter with BHP as a young teenager in 1982. Moving along Steve then moved into the private sector and developed Jones and White who were contracted by multiple builders to construct houses before value adding themselves and specialising in extensions and renovations.
Mr Jones moved away from Whyalla in 1997 so Steve White General Builders was established.
Having a good business acumen Steve could see other possibilities developing in his workplace. Steve White General Builders also offer other services including bathroom renovations, painting, tiling, decks, and sheds to name just a few. Its also important to point out that their services are not only for the residential sector but also commercial having worked on and modernised many business buildings in Whyalla. And if you aren’t quite sure of your vision for a renovation then the team can assist you with suggestions and project management from planning to completion.
The team at Steve White can now boast a strong work group of over 20 employees including 5 apprentices. It’s low attrition of workers shows strong leadership and a dedication to maintaining a positive workplace and environment. They have been a member of the Housing Industry Association for over 25 years which supports their dedication to a quality product and responsibility.
If you wish to contact Steve and the team, they are now located on McBryde Terrace in the old Moyles building which they’ve very impressively restored and supported Whyalla’s façade of yesteryear. There you will be greeted by the delightful front of office staff in Kayla, Amanda, and Jess.
