Congratulations to the May 2023 Business of the Month; Eyre Trading Whyalla…
Celebrating this month’s recipient is a well known business on the Eyre Peninsula and has been for many years; since the 1960’s in fact. Eyre Trading is a stalwart of what can be considered a very successful business starting out with primarily a family involvement. Keeping it in the family Danny Bartlett and his wife Marie eventually took over the reins in 2015 and wanted to progress the business further outside the surrounds of Port Lincoln.
Eyre Trading Whyalla opened the doors in 2017 and has made its mark immediately in our community by supplying our local industries including our mining and steel making. They are an industrial supplier having a vast range of products in stock including hand and power tools, machinery, consumables, welding equipment, workwear, and the list goes on and on. But also keeping within the spirit of the business legacy, they are also a welcomed supplier to trades people, the home handy person or contractors of any workplace. Whilst the Whyalla store has complimented the Port Lincoln store they were very pleased to open another in Port Pirie last year which has shown further confidence in the Upper Spencer Gulf.
The team at Whyalla are all locals which provides that friendly greeting as you enter. They are all confident salespeople that know their products and will always find what you need to complete your job. Another thing I’m impressed with is the ingrained ethos that if Eyre Trading doesn’t have a product in stock, they’ll definitely make the effort to get it whilst maintaining clear communication. There is also a casual ambience that allows you to look around and not be given the hard sell which is pleasant in regional living.
The team of Eyre Trading can be found at 27 Playford Avenue, or you can contact them on 8620 8552.
Please remember, shop local, shop Whyalla…
