EPLGA Annual Conference

Tickets are now available for the 2026 Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association Conference, hosted by Whyalla City Council and delivered by Open Eyre Events.

The conference will bring together council leaders, government, business and industry from across the Eyre Peninsula and beyond for two days of connection, insight and practical discussion, guided by the theme:

Connecting Futures: A Dream or a Choice?

The theme challenges us to move beyond imagining future possibilities and instead focus on the decisions, actions and collaborations required to actively shape them. The program will explore how regions respond to change, navigate complexity and uncertainty, and make informed, values based choices that influence long-term outcomes for communities, industries and local government.

Your February 26 & 27 conference ticket includes:

  • Two evening events, including the Welcoming Evening and Gala Dinner
  • A full-day conference program
  • Optional add-on experiences, including the Whyalla Steelworks Tour and City Highlights Tour

We are pleased to announce:

  • Event MC: Alison Lloydd-Wright
  • Keynote Speakers: Hari Hara Priya Kannan and Mike Rolls

The program explores decision making, regional futures, data driven insights and leadership in complex environments. Further speakers, including an interactive panel discussion focused on real world decision making, what worked, what did not, and the choices that can actively shape regional futures, will be announced soon.
